Australia has the world’s best FREE aged care system. Funded by the Government and mainly provided by the many not for profit or charitable aged care organizations. However, not everybody is entitled to any Government payment or subsidy.
Those who do not pass the “means test“ are called the Self Funded Retirees and they must pay for all or most of their aged care costs. If you are in the situation of having to pay for aged care then please consider employing us, Private Aged Care.
We are user pays. The COD refers to normal payments but we will also consider credit for some labor and other charges, which would be secured by a caveat on your home.
It maybe possible to employ Private Aged Care with your Estate Trustee to pay, with interest, after you pass.
Costs of $10/hour at my facility and $25/hour at your home etc. are for an ongoing contractual basis. Casual rates are double for the first 4 hours only. At my facility there is a 1 day minimum and at your home etc. a 2 hour minimum. Discounts can be negotiate, for longer periods etc., on the hourly rates or minimum times.
We are Career Carers and not nurses and cannot accept clients with serious illness or extreme dementia.
